Reiki (pron. RAY-key) is a gentle complementary healing therapy that directs universal healing energy to relieve problems and rebalance energies. Reiki, believed to be Tibetan in origin, has been practiced as a respected healing system since its formal development in late 19th century Japan.
During a Reiki treatment, a Healing Source-trained healer flows Reiki energy through his/her hands into key systems and areas of the person's body. The healer's hands remain above the body so that the person's subtle energy fields are also included in the healing work.
A variety of problems have been relieved using Reiki energy. Initial symptoms may abate at the first session while Reiki seeks out the deeper underlying causes to the problem. Reiki is often used to complement standard medical practices to speed and deepen the healing process.
Reiki has been found to be useful for:
-
Relieving headaches, inflamed sinuses, fevers, congestion, back and shoulder pain, sciatica, low energy, stress, burns, anxiety, and insomnia
-
Assisting in the healing of broken bones, sprains, past injuries, areas affected by surgery, and a variety of diseases
-
Clearing the side effects of MRIs, x-rays, and other test procedures
-
Boosting overall energy, whether it is blocked, low or imbalanced
-
Accelerating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing on all levels.
