Living in the Harimandir of the Heart Print E-mail

Sitting in Guru’s beautiful golden-domed sanctuary atop the Harimanadir (the Golden Temple in northern India) this past October, listening to the beautiful chanting of the Akand Path (continuous chanting of Sikh holy book), I watch deep peace spread over the faces of those who had come here with me from the States. It is natural to feel life so full of ease, so perfect.

Transfixed by the tones, elevated by the spirit, who could even remember the hectic lives we had all left barely a couple of days before. In a place such as this, ease is easy. We had three weeks here in this magical land, crossing from Goindwal and Amritsar to Anandpur Sahib and on to Rishikesh. As the time of our inevitable exodus neared, I could hear the nervousness creeping into their thoughts and see it on their faces.

The question held in common was simple: when you leave such a place of ease, how do you carry this ease with you? I could give them an answer, but the best answer to this is the one each person discovers for themselves, just as I did.

Womanheart: Shaping the Leaders of the Aquarian Age Print E-mail

sadhana1It’s that special pre-dawn time known by Yogis as the Amrit Vela and a group of 39 women sit steadfast in meditation during another morning of sadhana.

As they chant the “Wahe Guru” mantra, the stars, so clear in the Arizona desert sky, start giving way to a few golden rays of sunlight that glint over the red buttes in front of them.

After several minutes of meditation, one of them slowly opens her eyes and the beauty of the desert nature becomes as blinding as the glowing sun that illuminates her face.

She is moved to tears of joy and gratitude.

Womanheart Weekends Set in May & October! Print E-mail

whsatkryiaphotoWe've chosen two great three-day weekends for Womanheart Spiritual Immersion retreats in 2010.

Our new location is a rustic, beautiful ranch in the Superstition Mountains just east of Phoenix that inspired so many women at this past October's immersion weekend.

On May 7-9, Sangeet will lead us through understanding and methods for Healing Our Deepest Relationships and on October 1–3 she will dive deep into the ancient knowledge of the Sacred Transition States of Death and Dying.
