Reiki Basics
In one amazing weekend you can learn to direct Reiki healing energy through your hands to help heal yourself and others. Every month, people from all walks of life - from grandmothers and mothers to youngsters, from accountants and nurses to engineers - are taking Reiki training at The Healing Source and using it to help themselves, their families and friends. Now you can join them and see a remarkable new avenue of heartfelt healing enter your life. Reiki (pron. RAY-key) is a gentle universal healing energy that can be used by itself or as a complementary therapy to any other healing or medical practices to speed and deepen the healing process. It was developed in Japan in the late 1800s by Dr. Mikao Usui. Dr. Usui channeled the ancient energy force and empowering symbols after deep study and Buddhist meditation that allowed him to unlock ancient Tibetan practices that date back thousands of years. Reiki is asimple yet powerful healing system that can be learned by anyone.
How it works
Reiki is transmitted from teacher to student by means of “attunements” given by the Reiki Master. A student needs no prior healing experience. Unlike all other forms of healing, the healer or person doing the work, is neither diagnosing the problem nor attempting to construct an appropriate remedy. There is no need for this. Compared to what Reiki can do, our guesswork would be very limited in scope and value. When Reiki is employed, the energy itself embodies Divine consciousness that simply “knows” where it is needed and what purpose(s) it will serve. Those who receive and/or practice Reiki Energy Healing regularly also experience a greater awareness of the Divine in their life and feel grateful for the protection and peace such energy brings them.
Reiki Classes
Reiki Energy Healing classes are generally held every month and are broken down into three degrees and then master training.
Reiki for Healing Practice
Reiki I and II (1st and 2nd degree Reiki training) for certification comes with a full color manual and is held over a weekend, with the first day being the Reiki I training and the second day being the Reiki II training. Attunements for these days of training are done either the day or on the day of training. During these two days each student will gain the ability to work on themselves, others and over long distances which can be a few miles or thousands of miles. This weekend of Reiki training is also very healing for the students due to a series of attunements for each degree. These attunements bring the Reiki energy into the student, awakening their primary energy centers (chakras) and the chakras in their hands. This activation is what allows the practitioner to bring the energy in and convey it to themselves and others. Reiki III (3rd degree Reiki training) for certification also comes with a full color manual and is held over one long day. The Reiki practitioner who has already been trained and attuned for Reiki I and II, receives additional attunements and is trained in the proper use of the Reiki master symbol, while learning how to use the energy with several dozen major physical diseases or injuries.
Reiki for Master Level Practitioners/Teachers
The major difference between the training and attunements for personal healing use and master level certification is that the master level certification program is designed to train serious practitioners how to teach and attune future Reiki practitioners. Sangeet does train the highest level of mastery which is the Reiki Master-Trainer certification, but only by invitation. In order to qualify for Reiki Master training, you will need to be trained or retrained by Sangeet, and must have congruent attunements. Practitioners who wish to undergo master level training must have a committed Reiki practice and have been treating others with Reiki for at least a year. These Master-Level trainings are not done often. For more information on these high-level attunements and training sessions please contact us at the Healing Source.
Reiki Treatments
If you are interested in receiving Reiki Energy Healing from Sangeet, others on staff at the Healing Source, or others in our network of Reiki Energy Healers, please contact the Healing Source. If you are in need of a healing, keep in mind that Reiki Energy Healing is not necessarily the “cure” for many forms of disease (mental, emotional or physical) because healing is a process, not an end in itself. Reiki assists in stimulating healing on all levels. The typical Reiki Energy Healing Session will last for one hour, and does not involve the patient disrobing. The majority of the healing work is done hands off, with only a few exceptions. Some issues may require multiple sessions in order to fully heal, while other issues may abate after only one session. If you are in need of healing, please contact us.

Testimonials to classes and treatments
As one recent graduate said, "Thank you for this weekend. It has changed my life!"
Another student while training in an Oriental Medical program, came to participate in the Reiki I and Reiki II weekend. She shared her original calling to study acupuncture and energy medicine that came from her Native American background, but felt incomplete with the program based on her original passion and motivation. When the Reiki weekend was over, she shared gratefully and with glee that she had found what she was looking for through Reiki. She now practices both in Germany.
Sangeet recently trained a neurosurgeon in the art of Reiki Energy Healing, and he honestly did not know what to think about all of it. It completely went against his western medical training, but he had heard from co-workers that it really worked and that his practice would benefit from the training. When he left that weekend of Reiki training, he was called into the emergency room to work on a severe stroke victim who had lost control of one side of her body and was slurring speech badly. All the doctor could do was try to comfort his patient and tell them that everything was going to be alright. Without much thought, he cradled the stroke victim’s head in his hands (in Reiki Head-3 position) and immediately saw that his patient’s slurred speech and other symptoms started to become clear. He later told Sangeet that he would never have believed the results if he hadn’t done it and seen it himself.
Reiki in Hospitals
Hargobind Singh Khalsa is an staff member at the Healing Source and a certified Reiki therapists through a volunteer program at a Phoenix hospital setting. He enters the hospital with a badge which gives him access to all departments within the hospital, excluding the ER, allowing him to work with hospital patients, nurses, doctors, and visitors. This exposure helps bring Reiki out of the treatment room into an arena where people may not know of Reiki healing and can experience its benefits. These volunteers play an extraordinary role as ambassadors for natural healing. Hargobind Singh along with others trained at the Healing Source continue their pioneering and volunteer work at Banner Estrella hospital in Phoenix. |
